Tackling Climate Change - New Branch Initiative
UNISON
members recognise that we all have a role to play in helping to reduce
the C0² emissions that cause climate change. This includes doing things differently at home and at work.
With this in mind the branch are putting Green Issues as one of
their priorities for 2009. We have established an eco group and
have had a number of enquiries from members interested in
becoming eco representatives.
This is an exciting new initiative being undertaken by our branch and we hope that it proves
to be a very fruitful partnership with the authority. The twin aims
of greening the work place and reducing our carbon foot print
are held by union and employer alike.
If members are interested in becoming eco reps
then please contact the Branch Office on 01443 400401 or at the
e-mail address below.
